The Mayor's Cup is a civic competition providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to solve large-scale city problems.

The ecosystem of partners is comprised of leaders and practitioners across all sectors, which add unique value throughout all phases of the competition. Participants also gain access to a wide-reaching network of mentors who share their insights and expertise on topics like pitching to VCs, audience segmentation, branding, business models, scaling a product, feature selection, formalizing a business and more.

In it's inaugural year, more than 100 teams competed by providing ideas to support small businesses and drive civic engagement.

Now in it's second iteration, the competition will focus on two key problem statements:

1. How can we better support individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness?

One winning team will receive $50,000 and the opportunity to work with City Hall for twelve weeks to develop their idea.

Further submission details and requirements coming soon.
